COACHING & CLASSES
Everyone – child or adult, artistic or not – has the ability to express him/herself through art. The mere act of creative expression can build confidence and self-esteem, as well as problem-solving skills.
Art is freedom! Because it allows us to explore, to experiment, and to follow our intuition…and that builds self-esteem! Facing creative challenges allows us to stretch our minds and our horizons in ways that we may never have stretched them before. Surmounting these challenges shows us that we can be resourceful, persistent, and creative in the face of challenge! And it shows us that, in life, the journey is just as important as the destination.
I work with both individuals – of all ages – and groups. And I offer a friendly, relaxed environment where we can comfortably speak about ourselves. And where we can learn to use art as a tool to learn more about ourselves.
Please feel free to call with any questions about individual or class instruction.
“You have the gift of connection, that transcends culture, languages..."

“You have taught me so much and for that I am forever grateful"
Jayne Bonilla/ Author
"You have shown me that art is not just about drawing something onto a piece of paper. It is about much, much more. From you I have learned that art is about telling a story; about releasing your emotions and expressing your feelings. It has given me a completely new perspective and a deeper connection to my artwork. I look forward to my sessions with you each and every week because I always know that I will come out of it feeling lighter and happier. I learn so much about myself when I am with you and I look up to you so much. You are a spectacular teacher and person. I am so grateful that we have come into each other’s lives.!!

"We learned so much from each other and I grew up in my childhood with a very special person as my mentor. Both of us have been through hell and back in life and art has always been there to help us along the way and take our minds off the bad things. Thank you for everything you did for me and for your Posnack students, you had a huge impact on my life and my interest in architecture that will last a lifetime."
Daniel Farji/ High School Senior
"Your classes have changed the way I look at art and I can't thank you enough for making my four years of high school amazing."
Zachary Stauber/ High School Senior
"There was a mentorship there; I was never easy to work with, I know that, but you never stopped guiding me in life and art. You nursed that passion and made sure I held on to it."
Topaz Cohen/ High School Senior
"Lori has an endless energy which she taps into everyday to deliver a creative and innovative curriculum to her students."

You've taught me so much not only about art but expressing myself and my ideas. You always have a smile on your face, and that makes me excited to learn and do art!

I always come out of my comfort zone when working with you, and you teach me new strategies and techniques that I otherwise wouldn’t have known
You have an amazing energy and an explosive beyond words creativity!

I have begun to see the world differently after seeing the images you share and speak of. I actually think about all the photo terms when I look at things. I see a car move and I think motion. When I see a straw in a glass cup, I actually notice the distortion.
I want you to know that the years I spent working with you were the best, most productive time, and highlight of my career.
You are the first ever teacher to say something nice about my drawings. And that actually told me to enter the art competition!! For me it felt like you could see what I was trying to express through the drawing
You are so special to us- not only because you are so creative and have amazing passion for your work...but also because you have that special ability to ignite the artist in ALL of your students.
"Confidence, thinking outside the box !!!, the process of coming up with the concept and ideas of artworks, expressing myself through art, and cool artists!!
