Small Works

Today I'm sharing a small 3x3" work.⠀ ⠀ Working small is a great way to feel a sense of accomplishment when you lack time or energy to commit to larger works.⠀ ⠀ The rich colors feel dreamy and passionate and the line work full of energy.⠀

This small 4x4x2" work was inspired by my love of Asian history & symbols.⠀ ⠀ When I just need to play with art materials I love using art history as a jumping-off place.⠀ ⠀ Using a bit of #history removes any fear of a blank canvas or lack of #inspiration. I remember my professor always saying and reminding us to "stand on the shoulders of those who came before us."
